Guidelines for Parents

At Erode Public School, we believe that a child's growth is strengthened through a meaningful partnership between the school, parents, and students. We request parents and guardians to follow these guidelines and support us in creating a disciplined, positive, and enriching learning environment.

  1. Uniform & Personal Grooming
Parents are requested to ensure that their child attends school in a neat and complete uniform with clean shoes, socks, and appropriate grooming.

  2. Timely Fee Payment
School fees should be paid within the prescribed due dates to ensure smooth continuation of academic and school services.

  3. Punctuality & Regular Attendance
Students should arrive at school on time on every working day and maintain regular attendance throughout the academic year.

  4. Parent-Teacher Meetings
Parents are encouraged to attend all scheduled Parent-Teacher Meetings to understand their child's academic progress, behaviour, strengths, and areas for improvement.

  5. School Events & Communication
Parents are encouraged to participate in school functions, celebrations, and programmes whenever invited. Kindly acknowledge and respond to important circulars and communications from the school.

  6. School Diary / Handbook
Parents should check the student's diary or handbook daily and sign wherever required. Home assignments and important school communications should also be regularly monitored.

  7. Interaction with Teachers
Teachers should not be disturbed during instructional hours. Parents seeking information or clarification may meet teachers during the designated interaction time of 4:15 PM to 4:30 PM, subject to school procedures.

  8. Update Contact Information
Any change in the parent's telephone number, residential address, or essential contact information should be communicated to the school in writing at the earliest.

  9. Support School Discipline
Parents are requested to cooperate with the school in maintaining discipline, appropriate behaviour, punctuality, and respect among students.

  10. Home Assignments
Assignments mentioned in the school handbook should be completed on the specified day. Parents may guide and encourage their child but should allow the student to complete the work independently.

  11. Parent Dress Code
Parents and visitors are expected to maintain appropriate attire while entering the school campus. Lungis, bermudas, nightwear, and other unsuitable casual attire are not permitted within the campus.

  12. Valuables & Prohibited Items
Students should not bring unnecessary cash, gold or silver ornaments, expensive valuables, electronic devices, toxic substances, or other prohibited items to school.

  13. Meeting Students During School Hours
Parents and guardians are requested not to visit students during instructional hours. In case of an emergency, kindly contact the Principal or School Office.

  14. Leaving the School Campus
No student will be permitted to leave the school premises during working hours without appropriate permission from the Principal or authorised school personnel.

  15. Leave & Medical Absence
Students should not remain absent without prior permission from the Class Teacher and Principal. For illness extending beyond two days, parents are requested to submit a medical certificate.

  16. Care for School Property
Students must respect and responsibly use classrooms, furniture, laboratories, learning resources, sports facilities, and all other school property. Parents are requested to reinforce this responsibility at home.

  17. Respectful Behaviour
Students are expected to respect teachers, administrative staff, support staff, fellow students, and visitors while maintaining discipline and appropriate conduct.

  18. English Communication
Students are encouraged to communicate in English throughout the school campus, except during additional language periods and designated language activities.

Your involvement makes a difference. Together, we can create a supportive environment where every child learns with confidence, grows with values, and achieves with purpose.
